The general body meeting of the K.V.G.C.E Alumni Association, Sullia Chapter was held on Friday the 11th March of 2011. The executive committee was reframed and as this is the 25th year of the college from its inception (1986 - 2011) major decisions were taken pertaining to the silver jubilee celebrations. The members unanimously decided to open alumni association chapters at Mangalore, Kochin and Dubai.
The college has formed K.V.G. Alumni associations. At present there are three branches at Sullia, Bangalore and Kuwait. KVGCE Alumnis have occupied good positions both in India and abroad. The Alumni association of KVGCE at Kuwait has organized many programmes which include cultural fest, Onam celebration and year end get together. Sullia branch organized one day Alumni Meet on 30-11-2008 at Yavanika Bangalore. Sri Keshav Kumar, Sr. General Manager, L&T Cometsu, Bangalore was the Chief Guest. About 400 Alumnis attended the meet. New office bearers of Bangalore Chapter were inducted on the occasion. The college is having good contact with the alumni members. All the final year students are hereby advised to keep in touch with the mother institution even during their professional life to benefit the budding student KVGCE engineers.
We are institutional members of ISTE and we have the ISTE Chapter and the ISTE students chapter in the college. AICTE-ISTE Sponsored STTP on Modern Management Techniques in Manufacturing a 5 days Short Term Training Programme was conducted on 16-06-2008. Dr. KVG inaugurated the function and Sri D. Keshav Kumar, Sr. Deputy General Manager, L & T Kometsu Ltd., Bangalore was the Chief Guest.
