About Library

The KVGCE library consists of a Central Library and five departmental libraries which collectively support the teaching, Research and extension programmes of the institute. All students, faculty members of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership. The library provides a wide range of books which include university prescribed text books and reference materials on engineering, science and humanities offers library services through its various Divisions. All its operations are computerized using EASYLIB software. The library has in its collection more than 62,600 volumes with 27500 titles on Engineering, Management and Humanities. It has capacity to accommodate 250 students at a time. All its operations are computerized using EASYLIB software. The library is automated. Installed EPAC linked to the all sections which are helping for searching the books throughout the college. To promote the use of library resources, it also subscribes to IEEE, SPRINGER, ELSEVIER, TAYLOR&FRANCIES, ASCE and Proquest e-resources through VTU Consortium. It has also membership with DELNET .It is enabled with Wi-fi technology and Security System with Closed Circuit Television System (CCTV).

The Library for Management & Post graduation studies is separate. It has other facilities such as Student Book Bank Scheme, SC/ST Book Bank facility, Reprographic & Printing facilities etc. The library is fully automated using EASYLIB software. Installed OPAC linked to the all sections (P.G. Library, U.G Library, Periodical section & Book Lending section) which are helping for searching the books from any corner of the library.     

 The library is headed by Mr. P.B. Seetharama. M.L.I.Sc, M.Phil., with  01 Assistant librarian,1 FDA, 1 SDA and  02 supporting staffs.

The Library's mission is to provide comprehensive resources and services in support of the research, teaching, and learning needs of the faculty and students of the institute and provides an efficient dissemination of knowledge.
