The Association of Civil Engineers (ACE), in association with the Department of Civil Engineering, organized a field visit to the Water Treatment Plant at Kurunjibhag, Sullia, on 14-10-2026 for 3rd semester Civil Engineering students. Er. Arun Kumar H., Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, served as the resource person and guided the students during the visit.
The visit aimed to provide students with practical knowledge of water treatment processes and the functioning of a water treatment plant. The students learned about various stages of water treatment, including sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection, along with the importance of supplying safe and potable water to the public. The field visit helped students connect theoretical concepts learned in the classroom with real-world applications in environmental engineering. It was an informative and valuable learning experience that enhanced their understanding of water treatment and public water supply systems
