The inauguration ceremony of the 2024-25 CENSA (Computer Science and Engineering Student Association) at K.V.G. College of Engineering took place on November 15 at the K.V.G. Community Hall under the theme “Arohika.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Ranjith N.R., Quality Engineering Lead at Infosys and an alumnus of K.V.G. College of Engineering. Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized that students can achieve their goals through active learning and engagement. Dr. Ujwal U.J., Chief Executive Officer of KVGCE , VTU Executive Council member and the Head of the Department, highlighted the importance of integrating modern technology in contemporary learning. He further mentioned that the college aims to introduce more state-of-the-art technologies and new laboratories in the near future.
Principal Dr. Suresh V. appreciated the achievements of the students from the department and assured full support for all student activities.
On this occasion, the toppers from the Computer Science department were honored with mementos, recognizing their outstanding academic achievements and dedication. Additionally, the best mini-projects, showcasing innovation, creativity, and technical expertise, were acknowledged, emphasizing the department’s commitment to fostering practical skills and project-based learning. Active students who achieved significant milestones in various co-curricular and extracurricular activities were also celebrated with mementos, highlighting their contributions, leadership, and dedication to excellence. This recognition reflects the department’s focus on encouraging all-around development and inspiring others to aim high.
The association’s vice-president, Shashwath K., delivered the welcome address, while Harshad K., the joint secretary, provided details about the student association (CENSA). The vote of thanks was given by Surabhi T. The program was coordinated by Prof. Kishore Kumar K., Prof. Venkatesh U.C., Treasurer Dr. Savitha C.K., CENSA advisors Dr. Prajna M.R. and Prof. Balapradeep K.N., along with all the department’s faculty and staff members who were present at the event. The program was hosted by Lipti and Mohit.
