Technical Talk on “Awareness on SEEL & Virtual Lab” and “Online Courses & Higher Education Scope”

The Mechanical Engineering Association, Department of Mechanical Engineering, KVG College
of Engineering, Sullia, organized a Technical Talk on “Awareness on SEEL & Virtual Lab” on
08 September 2026 at the CAED Lab. The session was delivered by Prof. Gokuldas M, Asst.
Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering and SEEL Coordinator, who introduced
students to the concept and importance of SEEL-Simulation Enabled Experiencing Learning.
The talk highlighted the role of virtual experimentation, digital learning resources, and
technology-enabled laboratory education in enhancing student’s practical understanding and
learning experience.
As part of the same technical-talk initiative, a session on “Online Courses & Higher Education Scope” for
Mechanical Engineering Students was also conducted. The session was presented by Mr. Shivaprasad and
Mr. Gowrav Gambeer. N. M, focusing on the importance of online learning platforms such as Coursera,
edX, NPTEL, and other higher-education opportunities. The speakers explained how online certification
courses, skill development, and higher studies can support students in improving their technical
knowledge, career prospects, and professional growth. Overall, the technical talks provided valuable
awareness about digital learning, virtual laboratories, online courses, and higher education opportunities
for Mechanical Engineering students.
Prof. Raghavendra Kamath, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department and president of MEA
advised to take complete application of VTU SEEL lab and to add certifications to the portfolio of student
personal development.
The event was welcomed and concluded with vote of thanks by Ms. Jeevitha M, Vice president of
Mechanical Engineering Association. The event was conducted in the presence of Prof. Raghavendra
Kamath, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department., Senior Professor Dr. Sunil Kumar, teaching,
non teaching faculties and students of the Mechanical Engineering Department.
