Heartfulness Meditation

The Electronics and Communication Engineering Association (ENCEA) of KVG College of Engineering organized Heartfulness Meditation ‘Hearticulture,’ a three-day heart-based meditation training session from November 27th to 29th, 2023. The sessions were conducted for 1st, 3rd, and 7th-semester students, providing them with a unique opportunity to experience the benefits of meditation as part of their holistic development.

The training sessions were led by Ms. Nalini K, an experienced trainer from the Heartfulness Institute. She introduced the students to the concept of heart-based meditation and its impact on reducing stress, improving focus, and fostering emotional well-being. Through guided practices, students learned techniques to calm their minds and enhance their inner balance, which are crucial for maintaining academic and personal growth.

In her address, Ms. Nalini emphasized the importance of meditation in today’s fast-paced world, particularly for students. “Meditation helps students develop clarity, concentration, and emotional resilience, allowing them to manage academic pressures more effectively and lead healthier, more balanced lives,” she said.

Heart-based meditation, as introduced in ‘Hearticulture,’ focuses on nurturing compassion, empathy, and inner peace, helping students cultivate a sense of purpose and direction in their studies and beyond. The sessions received an enthusiastic response from participants, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn these valuable life skills.

The event highlighted the importance of mental well-being alongside academic excellence, with meditation serving as a powerful tool to achieve a harmonious balance.
