The Department of Mechanical Engineering, KVG College of Engineering, Sullia, inaugurated the Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) for the academic year 2025–26 on 1st December 2025 under the title “IGNITION.” The event was held in the college auditorium with the aim of motivating students and promoting technical, professional, and cultural development. Mr. Gopalakrishnan N, Assistant Factory Manager, KFDC, Sullia, was the Chief Guest and emphasized that Mechanical Engineering is the core and evergreen branch with wide career opportunities. The program was presided over by Dr. Suresha V, Principal, KVGCE, in the presence of Prof. Raghavendra B. Kamath, HOD and President of MEA, and Dr. Sunil Kumar M, senior faculty member.
The ceremony included invocation, welcome address, lamp lighting, introduction to MEA, felicitation of the Chief Guest, and recognition of MEA members and academic toppers. Addresses by the Chief Guest, HOD, and Principal inspired students toward discipline, innovation, and continuous learning. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, refreshments, and a cultural program by Mechanical Engineering students, made successful through the coordinated efforts of faculty and student committees.
