The IoT & Robotics Club successfully launched its Weekly PCB Workshop Series exclusively for second-year E&C students. The inaugural session titled “Design Your PCB” was held on Friday at 2:00 PM in the Computer Lab.
The workshop is designed to equip students with essential skills in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design, covering the entire development cycle—Innovate, Simulate, Design, Fabricate, Assemble, and Test. This initiative aims to build a strong practical foundation among students early in their engineering journey.
A total of 69 students participated in the session and greatly benefited from the hands-on training.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Kusumadhara S, Professor & Head of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, who served as the Resource Person. Dr. Kusumadhara introduced students to PCB design principles, software tools, and best practices used in industry.
The session was assisted by Karthik and Rajesh, third-year E&C students, who supported the smooth conduct of the workshop and guided participants during the practical activities.
Students responded enthusiastically, expressing interest in exploring PCB development and applying the skills learned in future projects. The IoT & Robotics Club plans to continue the series with progressively advanced topics, empowering students to design and fabricate their own PCBs.
The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to promoting innovation, technical excellence, and experiential learning among budding engineers.
