A technical talk on “Product Design and Development” was organised by the Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA), Department of Mechanical Engineering, KVG College of Engineering, Sullia, during the academic year 2024–25.
The Chief Guest of the program was Dr. Ujwal U J, CEO of KVG College of Engineering, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of innovation, creativity, and systematic design approaches in modern product development. He emphasized the role of mechanical engineers in transforming ideas into successful products.
The resource person for the talk was Mr. Deepak B C, BE, M.Tech (1st Year – Mechanical Design), NITK who explained the fundamentals of product design, stages of product development, design considerations, and real-world applications. The session was informative and helped students understand the practical aspects of design and development in the engineering industry.
The program was successfully conducted in the Smart Classroom with the presence of faculty members and students of the Mechanical Engineering Department, making it a valuable learning experience for all participants.
