The Annual Sports Meet 2025-26 of K.V.G. College of Engineering, Kurunjibag, Sullia was conducted with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship on 24th November 2025 at 9:00 AM at the KVG Play Ground. The event provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their athletic talents, physical fitness, teamwork, and competitive spirit.
The program commenced with an inaugural ceremony attended by distinguished dignitaries. Mr. Harish Kumar K, National Level Body Builder, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The function was presided over by Dr. Suresha V, Principal, and K.V.G. College of Engineering. The Vice Principal, Dr. Shreedhar K., also graced the occasion with his presence.
The dignitaries inaugurated the sports meet and encouraged the students to actively participate in sports and extracurricular activities for their overall development. In their addresses, they emphasized the importance of physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, leadership qualities, and a healthy lifestyle.
Following the inauguration, various track and field events were conducted for both boys and girls. Students enthusiastically participated in events such as 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, relay races, shot put, discus throw, long jump, high jump, shot put and other athletic competitions and for Faculties funny games was organized like musical chair, housie-housie and dodgy. The participants displayed remarkable determination, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the competitions.
Faculty members, physical education staff, volunteers, and student coordinators played a vital role in organizing and managing the events successfully. The enthusiastic support of students and staff created a vibrant and energetic atmosphere throughout the day.
The winners and runners-up of various events were felicitated with medals and certificates. The sports meet concluded with a valedictory function, where outstanding performers were recognized and appreciated for their achievements.
The Annual Sports Meet 2025-26 was a grand success, fostering unity, healthy competition, and physical well-being among the students. The event provided memorable experiences and encouraged students to pursue excellence in both academics and sports.
