The International Women’s Day was celebrated at KVG College Of Engineering on Monday, 11th March, 2024 at 2.00 PM. The purpose of celebrating Women’s Day is to raise awareness about the status and dignity of women among the staff & students.
Smt.Nethravathi paddambailu was the chief guest. She shared tales of struggle and success of a women. Further she said, gender equality is very important for a healthy society. The milestone to be reached is the basic information for women in every family to bring awareness among the society which will further result in overall development of nation and its community.
Dr. Yashoda Ramachandra, Principal, KVG Amarajyothi PU College Sullia, was the Felicitator of the day. She addressed the gathering by delivering the necessity of International Women’s Day celebration during this function. The purpose of celebrating this day is to make a gender equal world. It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of woman. Smt. Kamala , KVG Polytechnic Sullia was also felicitated for her long lived service in this campus.
Dr. Ujwal U J, CEO/Professor and HOD, CS & E department and member of executive council, was the president of this function. It is the time to uphold women’s achievements, recognize challenges and focus greater attention on women’s rights and gender equality to mobilize all people to do their best. This is the special day for all women. Because it is an International women’s day.
Dr. Suresha V, Principal, KVG College of Engineering Sullia, delivered the role of woman in social, political field and also contribution in family life. She is positive in each and every field and she play the role as a mother, sister, wife and daughter in an outstanding way.
Ms. Thrishali & team amused the audience by singing a song which signifies the power of a mother as a women. Indoor games were conducted to the students prior to this function. On this occasion, prize distribution was done for the winners.
Miss. Ananya Hebbar and Miss. Nanma Krishnan prayed the almighty. Dr.Surekha M,
delivered the welcome speech. Prof. Prajna V T introduced the chief guest. Prof. Rekha A A introduced the felicitators. Prof.Divya A K delivered the vote of thanks. Ms.Hrithiksha was the master of ceremony. All the lady staffs and students and the members of CICC, KVGCE participated in an enthusiastic manner. The program was followed by refreshment and cultural events for the students and staff. The prize distribution was done for winners of events.
